Agnieszka Piasecka
Biography: Agnieszka Piasecka comes from Poland. She speaks Polish, Russian and English. Agnieszka completed a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Catholic University of Lublin. For several years she has worked as a Landscape Architect in Dublin, Ireland. In 2011 she decided it was time for a change of scenery (and weather) and she moved to China. She currently works as a Project Designer in Nanjing.

Anastasija Rizika
Biography: Anastasija Rizika is a Sinologist, translator, Chinese and English teacher living in Nanjing, China. After graduating with a BA in Asian Studies from Latvian University in 2010, Anastasija attended Chinese Bridge Camp in Changsha, China and then moved to live in Nanjing, China, where she is currently earning a Masters in International Education from Nanjing Normal University. Anastasia currently works for an English training center and is involved in education and cultural exchange. She also moonlights as a Chinese negotiator in one of the biggest companies in Nanjing.

Chris Buginas
Biography: Chris Buginas is a property developer and part time English Lecturer living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Since graduating with a BS in English from Deaconess College in 1998, Chris has lived in the Czech Republic, where he studied Czech Language and Czech Film History at Charles University, and then Busan, South Korea before settling in Vietnam. Chris currently spends his time renovating French Colonial properties in downtown Saigon which are rented to holidaymakers seeking a unique place to stay, scouring the city for unique antique furniture finds, and teaching IELTS and TOEIC test prep classes to Vietnamese university students.

Biography: Fred Bane is a media producer and translator living in Nanjing China. Since graduating with a BA in International Relations from American University in 2007, Fred has lived in Vietnam and then China, where he received a Masters in Ethnography from Nanjing University in 2012. Fred currently works for a non-profit organization involved in education and cultural exchange, and moonlights as a Chinese-English medical translator.

Nathan Montgomery
Biography: Growing up in a family that was frequently on the move, styling myself the "little anthropologist" became my hobby at a very young age. Subsequent and extensive perusals of my father's collection of National Geographic magazines sealed my fate. After spending significant time in Spain, Brazil, Mexico and obtaining a BA focusing on old Iberian epics, I decided it was time to fill in the gaps on the other side of the world and moved to China. Four years and two languages later I received a fellowship for graduate research in Central Eurasian Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, where I am currently.
